My Collegiate Journey Part II (ENT 670 BLOG 8)

My journey in the Music Technology Certificate Program.

I have sort of enjoyed this semester for the Entrepreneurship program. I feel burnt out sometimes, although I am doing something that will better myself. Again, for those who don’t know, I am graduating this May with a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship AND a Music Technology Certificate from Western Carolina University.

I just had a recording session at WCU for my album. I am recording myself singing and playing original music on the piano for my musical senior project for MUS 474-Capstone Course. I need to practice every day starting today. I wrote the music years ago, but there are a few things I need to polish up. It will only be a few hundred dollars for me to have my songs published on a CD. A CD is not required for my senior project, but it’s something that needs to be done to achieve my personal goal.

I obviously will have them available on iTunes. I have all of the music software by the way, to edit the recordings and fix any minor details before I have them published. Also, I feel like everything in this music technology capstone class (MUS 474), requires so many assignments that I have already completed for the Master’s of Entrepreneurship program.

Really quick, on a side note, please make sure you save everything in a place easy to find.

I’m glad creating a website was a requirement for these Entrepreneurship courses, too. I was able to use this website (www.rebeccawiggins.com), for an assignment for other courses in my other degree. I don’t want to get too in depth, but basically, I was able to use so many completed Entrepreneurial assignments for my music degree and more. It is nice how everything is coming together for me.
