Blog 7 Week 8. My reflection of ENT 660

Updated: Feb 6

My reflections of ENT 660 Entrepreneurial Strategy Part I this Semester

I very much enjoyed this course, believe it or not. (hehe) I have always liked writing. I feel as though that was what the class was all about. The coursework for ENT 660 was a lot of writing report after report, of our new venture. It wasn’t that bad at all.

I have accomplished things I thought I couldn’t, so when I feel like giving up, I need to remember that I can do this! One great example of this was when I finished an incomplete from last spring in only 5 days, with half of the coursework remaining! Not to mention, I did that while still finishing this class. I can do ANYTHING I set my mind to. Sometimes I experience limited thinking, and I’ve got to remind myself that we are more than a physical body. I am very close to graduating with a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship! Hooray!

The beginning of my collegiate journey in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, I explored my potential business of owning multiple rental properties. I rent out one unit, and own 2 more units I hope to rent out as well. Over the course of the past 12 months, I changed my new venture idea to potentially owning a fitness center instead. But why can’t I do both? It is not far-fetched, so I don’t see why not.

A pandemic (Covid-19) has swept over everyone’s lives during my schooling the years 2020-2021. I’m not too excited about trying to open a business during this time. I am renting one property though, like I said. That’s good right? I enjoy the security of my current job, and going home, not worrying about having upper management responsibilities. I would love to not work at all and just manage rental properties.
