School and Surgery:

Taking Care of Yourself

I just had carpal tunnel surgery, not even 2 weeks ago. The surgery was done in my dominant hand, the right hand. The left hand was not required for surgery, although it is in pain too. I am just now able to type again.

This surgery needed to be done but was also unexpected to happen so soon. Fortunately, I am out of work so that I can get back ahead on my school assignments. Remember to always have money saved because you never know what you might need it for. If I didn’t have savings, I wouldn’t have been able to afford my surgery.

It’s also very important to be organized in your life especially when unexpected incidents occur. I was ahead in school and got my piano recordings done for my music technology class before my surgery was done. I’m trying to stay positive and enjoy this time off.
